Tacbear – Oilless Bearing Material

Taconic’s Tacbear 17KAS is a black, semi-conductive 1 side coated PTFE Aramid Fabric used in the bearings industry. The uncoated raw Aramid fabric can easily be bonded to a smooth steel surface with a phenolic resin under temperature & pressure, whilst the side coated with PTFE is smooth with anti-static properties, facilitating easy sliding of the bearings. Uses include car seats, door hinges, and large bearings in the oil industry. Temperature resistance in the final application is 180°C. Standard width of Tacbear 17KAS is 1600mm but is also available wider and in slit roll format at 245mm wide.
