Taconic’s self-adhesive tapes, including our range of self-adhesive PTFE glass tapes & skived PTFE tapes (Tac-Tapes), are manufactured using high quality PTFE coated glass fabrics, silicone rubber coated glass fabrics and skived PTFE film. Commonly known as packaging tape or PTFE adhesive tape, most products are available with silicone or acrylic adhesive and up to 1500mm wide and can be slit to widths as narrow as 3mm.
Which adhesive system is best for your application?
Tac-Tapes are used in many industrial applications and processes – includes renewables/wind blades, packaging, plastics, electronics, and composite molding.
Our silicone polymer based pressure sensitive adhesive tapes can be easily applied onto heated surface as they offer continuous operating temperatures ranging from -73°C to 260°C. These Tac-Tapes come with a yellow corrugated backing liner as standard and provide an excellent release surface for applications requiring high temperature, mechanical strength, fire retardancy and electrical resistance.
Acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives are resistant to 180°C and come with a flat blue liner as standard. Using a higher tack adhesive, they initially bond quicker to the applied surface.
Both silicone and acrylic adhesive tapes are available without a backing liner (self-wound).
